ACTIONS:

Women continue to suffer throughout the world, whether through lack of access to legal abortion, or because radical fundamentalist groups deny women basic freedoms and access to health care and education.  The National Organization for Women seeks to make positive social change for women and girls in the world on these and so many of the issues that affect women worldwide.  We do this by "actions."  Actions may consist of:

* letter writing campaigns                                     * electing feminists to public office
* phone banking                                                   * picketing corporations that exploit women
* lobbying elected officials                                    * "Stop the Hate" vigils
AND
Speaking publicly against atrocities such as:
* violence against women and girls     * discrimination/sexual harassment in the workplace
* discrimination based on sexual orientation
* anti-choice supporters blocking women from receiving reproductive services
